Requirements

Before installing any IggyMods, make sure you have:

  • Minecraft Java Edition — We don't support Bedrock
  • A mod loader — Forge, Fabric, or NeoForge
  • Correct Minecraft version — Check each mod's page for supported versions

Note

Most IggyMods support Minecraft 1.20.x. Check the mod page for specific version compatibility.

Installing with Forge

Step 1: Install Forge

If you haven't already, download and install Minecraft Forge from the official website.

Step 2: Download the Mod

Download the Forge version of the mod from CurseForge or Modrinth. Make sure to download the version matching your Minecraft version.

Step 3: Install the Mod

  1. Open your Minecraft installation folder
  2. Navigate to the mods folder (create it if it doesn't exist)
  3. Drop the downloaded .jar file into the mods folder
  4. Launch Minecraft with the Forge profile

Tip

Press Win + R and type %appdata%\.minecraft to quickly open your Minecraft folder on Windows.

Installing with Fabric

Step 1: Install Fabric

Download the Fabric installer from fabricmc.net and run it to install Fabric for your Minecraft version.

Step 2: Install Fabric API

Most Fabric mods require the Fabric API. Download it from Modrinth and add it to your mods folder.

Step 3: Download and Install

  1. Download the Fabric version of the mod
  2. Place both the mod and Fabric API in your mods folder
  3. Launch Minecraft with the Fabric profile

Installing with NeoForge

NeoForge is a fork of Forge for newer Minecraft versions. Installation is similar to Forge:

  1. Download NeoForge from neoforged.net
  2. Run the installer
  3. Download the Forge/NeoForge version of the mod
  4. Place the .jar in your mods folder
  5. Launch with the NeoForge profile

Note

Most Forge mods work on NeoForge without changes. Check the mod page for specific NeoForge support.

Troubleshooting

Game crashes on startup

  • Make sure you downloaded the correct version for your Minecraft version
  • Make sure you downloaded the correct mod loader version (Forge vs Fabric)
  • Check if you have all required dependencies

Mod doesn't appear in-game

  • Verify the mod is in your mods folder
  • Make sure you're launching with the correct profile
  • Check the file isn't named .jar.zip (rename to just .jar)
